AKN Website Overhaul
The new AKN website is designed to provide improved intuitive access to AKN resources. New features include expanded data download functionality including prepackaged zip files, improved access to descriptive metadata, expanded information on partners, and more detailed information on how to contribute data to the AKN.
The AKN, launched in 2004, has grown by leaps and bounds. With nearly 40 million observations in its database, and 29 partner organizations, its scope and importance has increased exponentially in recent years. In order to deliver AKN resources effectively to the public, an overhaul of the existing website was required. The new web site, launched in October 2007, features many new tools that will help users find the information they need at the AKN.
