Downloading data
AKN data are freely available to anyone for research purposes (note data access limits in the metadata for each project dataset). For commercial purposes, contact the AKN.
There are two primary ways to download data: through our prepackaged services or through our customized data download tool. We strongly recommend using the prepackaged zip files, but if your requirements are more specific you may need to move on to the database query tool.

What kinds of data are available?
The AKN makes raw data on bird observations available through a suite of download tools. Basic data available are project metadata, observation data and sampling event data. Customized data query tools are also available.
