Descriptive Metadata

These data describe the project, how the dataset was collected, and how the variables in the data relate to each other.  For example, in a given dataset point counts might be coded as "Point," "PC,"  "21," or any other project specific code that would not make obvious sense to outside analysts.  The metadata will allow analysts to make sense of these codes (e.g., 21=Point Count).  By clicking on the "Datasets" tab on the AKN home page, you'll reach a list of projects and their associated data.  Click on the name of your project of interest and the metadata are available here:
