All datasets included in the AKN have associated descriptive metadata.  These metadata are housed in our Bird Monitoring Data Registry (BMDR).  As an AKN data provider, you'll need to fill out a BMDR questionnaire for each contributed dataset so that researchers learn about the provenance of your data.  The BMDR for each dataset is accessed directly from the "Datasets" tab after clicking on the project of interest.

The results of this effort will be made available through the AKN website, as well as other biodiversity information resources, such as NBII’s Natural Resources Monitoring Partnership.
